When it Crusts It Crusts alot

My surgery went okay. Had some heart rate situations twice but all was managed and gathered under control. Recovery was a lot tougher and I didn't get home until later on in the evening that Wednesday.

They cut out alot of scar tissue that had wrapped itself around my ovary like a creeping charlie weed. It had also attached itself to the uterus which they think is what was causing all the pain during Pam and cramping. They took off a few suspicious looking "chocolate melts" for biopsy and we'll have those back on Monday or Tuesday (endometriosis perhaps?)

BUT! He was able to save the ovary. He cut around and in and beyond all the adhesion's from my three csections and was able to bring my ovary back home.. I didn't lose her.

Things have been rough here though. That night after surgery, Ben got sick. He's been sick every since. More croup. Bad. I'm exhausted and have been up with him and Brian two nights now straight with minimal sleep. I'm in pain but the pain is easily dulled when carrying for Ben.

What to do? Go see an ENT? For Ben.
More surgery? NO more please! For him, I mean. To have to put him under to do a scope of his epiglottis. But we think we'll wait. He should outgrow it. Perhaps we're talking this through sleep filled eyes, and we'll reevaluate later on...too tired to think straight right now.

His breathing is labored and he's now on more steroids yet again, and breathing treatments. If it doesn't improve he'll have to be admitted so we're doing our best to keep him relaxed and quiet. I took a video of him sleeping and after his breathing treatment while sleeping he sounds like a dog growling. My poor Benny boo-boo.

I'll be back later. Right now these words are coming out through tiny slit eyes that have mixtures of Darvocet and Toradel(sp) in them as well.

Remember what matters this weekend.
Remember what matters.

Thank you for all your well wishes. They all meant a lot! :)

You poor girl. If I was near, I would come and help take care of both of you. I'm sorry that things have to be so rough for you right now. Better days ahead. Hugs. :)

I'm glad you're on the mend...just DON'T DO TOO MUCH....rest is the most important thing to healing. Of course I realize that with 3 little ones...rest is hard to come by. My son had "croup" so bad when he was little. I spent many nights in a bathroom full of steam with him...sounding so awful. Then...maybe 3 or 4 yrs of age...he just outgrew it! I can't tell you why but all I can say is that it sure did make me happy. I'm hoping the same will happen to Ben and you can breathe a sigh of relief. Praying for you all....much love to you.
