Put This Into Your Oven and SMOKE IT!

Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients:
Olive Oil
1 box of spaghetti noodles
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Large Tomato
5-7 cloves of garlic
1 pint of heavy cream
1 wedge of Parmesan cheese
1 box of Feta cheese
Pizza seasoning spice (comes in a grinder, McCormick works fine, as does Italian Seasoning)

Cooking:
1. Julienne the bell peppers and mince the garlic cloves
2. Slice the tomato
3. Fry the bell peppers in olive oil over medium heat until just soft then add the garlic and fry for about another 2 minutes (don't let the garlic burn)
4. Add just a little over half the pint of heavy cream to the frying pan and turn down to a simmer (allow to simmer for about 5-7 minutes so the flavors permeate the cream)
5. Boil the spaghetti noodles until almost al dente (should still be a little yellow)
6. Grate the wedge of parmesan cheese
7. Drain the noodles and pour into an slightly oiled (olive) 13x9 baking dish (spread the noodles out so they are somewhat level)
8. Pour the contents of the frying pan over the noodles as even as possible
9. Add the grated parmesan cheese
10. With a fork, toss the mixture in the baking dish around so the peppers, cream and cheese settle into the noodles
11. Place the slices of tomato on top evenly (for presentation purposes only, otherwise chop the tomato and toss with the other items)
12. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
13. After 20 minutes, remove from the oven, sprinkle the Feta cheese around the top somewhat evenly and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Serve with garlic bread and let me know how it comes out!

Welcome To Crustybeef~
I used too much Olive oil,so don't make that same mistake! I also used more then half the carton of heavy whipping cream, it gave it more substance.

I poured the seasoning mixture in after I added the parmesan cheese, and folding it all in together, as well as the tomato's.

Such a wonderful dish!
Thank You Frankie!!!

Boy, I bet the house smells terrific while this is cooking! I had to laugh at your previous post....I used to do that, but not NEARLY as thorough. I straightened up for the babysitter, but actually cleaned before the woman came that helped me out every week. I finally got over that...thank goodness. Now I have a girl come in and just help me with the floors and the fridge...its hard for me to do those now. Stay warm!

I love reading your blog, your stories, your recipes, but sometimes I just come here for the music. Thank you. :)

GoldenGirlworthmorethanPlatinum: It's soothing, maybe in the back of my head I feel guilty leaving the kids at home, so if I overinduldge myself with home preparations, I don't feel as bad, course that is an oxymoron because, what I should be doing instead of cleaning out sock drawers, is spending that time with the boys. Gosh, what a freak I am. :0)

Jaime: I am blushing, thank you very much. I've never been good with compliments. This music is what gets me through the day many many times...what's your favorite songs? My girlfriend mentioned the chilly temps in NC, and I saw Janelle's comment in your post, that's ashame, but at least it's not frigid there, and temps look like they'll be improving..I hope she's enjoying the change of scenary!! Enjoy the tunes, I'm off to crank to Torn Blue Couch, myself!

Sincerely,
Elizabeth

Okay, I'm drooling over here. That sounds so good. Now, Roggie is severely allergic to garlic. Do you think it would taste as good without the garlic? Sad, isn't it? We miss out on so much yummies. I'm writing it down anyway so I can try it without the garlic.

**EXILE**
Thanx for the food idea!

KellyJ: Oh man, allergic to garlic? That's so hard with recipes...I'm sure it would taste good still, I would just reduce the amount of olive oil, and maybe add some italian sausage for a spicy or zing!! :)

Tex: you can thank Frankie, I'm just the one that fell in love with it, demanded that he pass it on, and he did so happily! Tell me how it turns out when you make it for you, the warden and the kids!!
I STAND CORRECTED! :)
messy room indeed-mainly the clothes. Remember the wooden kitchen set in my room? rollerskating in the basement?

Always,
Elizabeth

Read, copied, and saved. I'm going to include it on my next gathering menu. It looks really good. In this gang, if you have garlic you have a meal.

Jyankee: If you need any ingredients, just give me a ring, I'd be happy to ship them out to you, or we could have Soul ship them, as long as I go out and run and get them! :)

Mary: I can't wait to hear how it turns out. Garlic is just a beautiful thing, isn't it? The noodles are best like Frankie said if they aren't cooked too long first in the pot of boiling water. I cooked them for a max of 5minutes. But that all depends on if you like crunchy noodles, or soft ones. Enjoy and have a relaxing time this weekend up into next week!!

Always,
Elizabeth

I'm after any good, quick and easy dishes for when I start being the chief cook in our house. Any day now I will be strapped to the stove so this is a great start and sounds absolutely delish.

YUM! I will copy that and let you know when I make it. It sounds delicious.

I got the cutest Valentine's card in the mail yesterday. It was the best surprise, and just when I needed a boost. Thank you!

This would completely kill my diet. It's the PINT of heavy cream. and the WEDGE of cheese. I will have to look for pizza seasoning. I'm intrigued.

Every time I come here lately, I leave with my mouth watering.

I had to make spaghetti and meatballs the other night after visiting, but unfortunately it wasn't baked. But still so delicious.

What am I having for dinner tomorrow night, Crusty? ;)

Hi!
I came across your blog link on Hedy's Blog. LOVE your music!
I'm new to your blog, but am enjoying it already.

gypsy: it could be fun for you and the girls too! I hope you're not going to over do it though...promise? I don't know if you've seen her sight yet, but have you gone to pioneer womancooks? Talk about a blast of a blog!!

Chery: conversational hearts are the best aren't they? I wonder if yours will have a heart that says, EMAIL ME.." I found a few yellow ones that said that, even though yellow and orange aren't my favorite "flavors!" I'm glad you finally got it, darn the post office for closing on Presidents day!! :)
THANK YOU!! for everything!!!back!!!when you make it, tell me how it turns out!

Jaime: Garlic is a beautiful thing, isn't it??

BOn:: Maybe go less then half on the tiny pint! hee-hee! It's so good, and you can even lick the sink if you add onions! I looked for the pizza seasoning and couldn't find it, but I didn't go to Whole Foods, so maybe they'd have it there. I know, you and Cheryl can make it together, blog about it, and then it won't seem "half" as bad!! :)

Capt: You're a spicy guy, so tomorrow, Chicken adobe, salright?

LandsharkYO!: I'll go tell your mom to have it ready upon your return from NC...you enjoying yourself? Sans the nasty cold snap out there? It's a beautiful calm place out there isn't it? Miss the corn yet?? :)

Always,
Elizabeth
