You would think from just glancing around that it wasn't that big of a deal.
Just a film of snow, and nothing more.

But airlines are cancelling flights.
Airports are closing down, allowing in a few planes but not letting any planes depart.
Schools are closing after just beginning their first period.
AND, I haven't seen the mailman either.

WOoooooo! Wind! Howling again, intense and assulting against the skin.

Trying to shovel the thin layer, out in the nasty cold, I was shocked to see that it was the frozen, heart attack snow. It seems light, but then your chest freezes when you lean over to swoop the snow back over your chest, Heave, HOOOooooooo OWwwwwwwwww!

I feel sorry for my friend, Laine. She was due to leave here today to go visit our friend Dnutz, out in Arizona. She's stuck,Laine that is, and her flight has been cancelled.
More time with her lovie, but less time with her oldest friend.

Snow, light.
White Skies dumping lots of light light snow.
Wind, strong.
Slush, heavy.
What a Bummer.

Welcome To Crustybeef~

Very good making me feel cold! I'm grateful to be sitting next to a heater right now. I remember in Alaska, I got off the plane and it was like 5 below and the cold literally took my breath away. (Course it was 33 below a few days later.. now that was freeze-your-nose-hairs-cold!)

Stay warm my friend!

Your weather sounds yuckie-poo. Sorry. Maybe spring will make up for all this.

Spring is almost here, Crusty. I can feel it. It's like the Secret says. We just have to say it. :)

From what the national news said it sounds like you've got more coming.

I made it through one winter in Chicago - never again.

Go snuggle Biggdog in the name of energy conservation.

Maybe if we leave it alone, it will warm back up to 40 tomorrow and melt it all....then we will have flood warnings. ~sigh~ Take it easy with that shoveling...not worth a severe injury. I sometimes pay some teens to do it...they make me happy and the money makes them happy. Stay warm and stay safe!

Gosh the cold. You stay warm, Crusty and the terrific trio too.

We've had some much needed cooler weather though it would probably seem like a heatwave to you. It's been in the 70's which is a blessed relief after the energy sapping heat we've had the past few months.

Just trying to catch up with some blogs after a few days in the blogging wilderness. Thankyou so much for your lovely comment on my last post. No-one, but NO-ONE has ever admired my arms before. Must be some trick photography :)

Be careful out there! The damned snow will kill you...

I think it's wonderful that you haven't let the winter get you down. For me, I just about can't take much more.

Hey Soul:

How about you keep a clean mouth when you post? These are decent folks who post on here. Your foul mouth needs to go elsewhere.

You know, I really didn't know that slush can make the car skidded more than ice!

Yesterday we had a foot of slush on the road. This morning, it's all ice now! ARH!!!

I've escaped, only to return very sick, and some other things too..
