If You Were Me...

If you were me...
...you'd have just celebrated your 6 year wedding anniversary with the man that you've been "with" for 11 years this past Saturday...driving to Wildfire in a rainstorm so intense you couldn't see out the windshield..

If you were me...
...the rain would serve as a reminder and bring a warm fuzzy to your belly...because after you were married as the surf rolled up to your bare feet, after the sun had set and you had celebrated your first toast as husband and wife, there was such an incredible rainstorm outside that you couldn't help but videotape it standing out on your balcony overlooking the gulf, the salted air and water spraying your face and twinkling the glass of champagne that your awesome siblings had sent to you as a congratulations..

If you were me...
...you'd be wearing a new necklace given to you from your beloved of 11 years...a necklace that contains a heart and a cross, something that your beloved said is the most amazing thing about you; the size of your heart and how much you respect your own Faith and others..

If You were me...
...you'd have had your husband of 6 years and 2 days standing behind you as you went CLICK and submitted your commitment for continuing education towards the pursuit of your nursing degree..starting this summer May 27th...

If You were me...
...you would be happy...and nervous...and anxious...and tired and slightly under the weather, but happy that your brother in law's company has cancelled their excursion to the Co of Mexi...

If You were me...
...you would be smiling over how much fun your two sons had at their first ever dad and Grandpa minor league baseball game outing...and loving how excited your Jackson looked as he paraded around the field, seeking autographs from players that truly care for the game; having not allowed politics and money to taint their normal muscle strength.

If You were me...
...you would be looking forward to falling asleep with the windows open...because the wind is so gusty its the exact sound of the surf that races around the sands shore at night when the rest of the world sleeps; mixing it up like a fluffy powdered yellow cake...

If You were me...
...you would be wondering if you'd prefer high intense ambulatory routes trauma level HIGH... or the typical late night pace of a hospital floor...

If You were me...
...you wouldn't be so angry...nor would you allow words to fall from the corners of your tongue that once said cannot be pulled back or undone...

If You were me...
...the hurt would be aching and you'd desire to speak more...but you will do your best to not allow bad energy to enter your mind when there are so many positives to glance at instead...

If You were me...
...You would be wishing for coffee and laughter with a good friend...more time then time allows today with busy boys; something that you wish people could understand...

If You were me...
If You were you...
I'm glad you're you..
I'm glad I'm me..
I'm glad you're a part of this special corner that I share:
Here in CB.

Sweet dreams You.
Sweet dreams Me.
Dream well You.
Dream well Me.
