ANYONE WANT TO BUY SOME LEGOS?

So I did it because I am such a cruel and unjust parent.
I do blame myself 80% of the situation because I brought my sons to this point. I grew their desire to disregard my requests and daddy's requests by "making them happy." It cannot all be their fault. They are learning and I have learned. Because they aren't doing as positive of a job on following through, the majority of that is to be shouldered on my crusty self.

So, I did it.
I gave them 45minutes to clean up their room after many return visits into their pit of despair of a room. Instead of them cleaning up, the jacked around and made even more of a mess. I told them that if the 45minutes are up and there is still things on the floor, they will lose them. Remember this drill? That one unfortunate night where they witnessed bag take and lose?

It happened again. So they obviously DIDN'T learn the first time, did they? This time was an urge that if they didn't clean up, they would witness not only mommy bagging, taking and not borrowing, but they would also witness selling ala ebay.

Naturally they didn't complete the very simple task of putting the legos and other random toys back into their respected bins. How hard is that?

Here is the listing number: 140333333802. Go ahead, check it out. Tell your friends about it. Help me sell their toys so they will realize that this mommy means business.

After all, if I don't stop this from manifesting itself now, I'm only going to make it harder on my amazing future (G-d willing) daughter in laws. Now why would I want to do that? I don't.

Another moment with Crusty.
A Lego Lesson.
I hope your children don't have to learn the way my boys did. But then again, if it will help them to have less, appreciate and respect more and learn that their parents mean business, well then you're welcome to be part of the mean mommy club alongside your pal Crusty.

Is it bad that I think this is AWESOME! Good for you. I believe in tough love. It's the only way they learn.
